And Tyrande is so beautiful, fierce and elegant like some hunt-goddess... love them both, really. And I love that Warcraft made elves so epic, they're not gay-like fairies, who spent their whole immortality on sighing for butterflies, playing harp, singing stupid songs and writing poetry, but fighting hard to defend the heart of their lands like elves should. They're powerful, much more powerful than many other races, but not f*cking sweety perfect like diamonds.
But I have to agree with your point. On the contrary of common belief that elves live as if they were living in paradise, Blizzard has really made the elves something bold and strong of their own. And not just the elves, it includes all of the races in the Warcraft universe.
